Comparsa "Los Julianes" (1958) - Pasodoble "There are people who say"

There are people who say
that there isn't any celebration in Cadiz,
not even a fair that leads those ones of other cities,
but we would like to inform to those ones
who speak so badly about us
that what would them say about our Carnival?
We don't have any pilgrimage or a fair,
that is true, but many ones should come here
and realize that Cadiz is a party the whole Summer.
If they are not country people,
that's because they are distinguised Andalusians,
people from the sea,
but they are authentic
from Puertas de Tierra to the Hospicio.
If they don't know how to wear
the bullfighter costume
is because they don't use it to go fishing.
I understand it's so wonderful
to have harnessed a beautiful horse,
but I have a little boat
with such a witty keel
that says it better than my own words.
That's why Cadiz has an hallmark
that speaks about its nobility and distintion,
and over here was put that "Non Plus Ultra"
which translated into current language
happen to mean that nothing can overcome it.
